This drive will be limited to 15 Miata’s and 15 Minis!
Welcome to the 2024 running of an annual tradition: The M&M (Minis & Miata’s) Rally. Once again LVMOC will get together with members of the Philly Mini Club for some back-road cruising and camaraderie. This will be, we believe, the 14th running of this event, which was first proposed and hosted in 2008 by the Mini group! This year it's LVMOC's turn to host the event. So, here goes:
The drive will begin in Wind Gap, PA, in the parking lot at Giant Food Store and Ocean State Job Lot, (click on "Location", above) not far from PA Routes 512 and 33. There are restrooms in the Giant store. The drive's route is largely that of LVMOC's former annual Pocono Drive. It is divided into three parts: 52 miles, 22 miles and 36 miles, with a total distance of 110 miles. We will travel along roads with so many curves that our drivers' arms may become tired from cranking the steering wheel😍! There will be a "comfort" break at about 20 miles into the first leg, and others will occur before the second and third parts. We will finish the event with a mid-afternoon meal at the Blue Mountain Drive-In on Mountain Road near Danielsville, PA.
We will use FRS radios for communications.
Be sure to arrive at the departure point with a full gas tank and an empty bladder 😉.
